Our reseller, Paddle, takes the payment and sends you a receipt. Then we send your license key by email. Paddle is the merchant of record: it adds sales tax or VAT at checkout where the law requires it, and its buyer terms apply to the sale.

Questions

How many computers can I use?
A license is for one person. You can use it on every computer where you are the main user.
What does a license include?
A license costs $40, plus tax where applicable. It removes the reminders of the unregistered version, and it includes all updates that we release in the 2 years after your purchase.
Does my license expire?
No. After 2 years, you can keep using the last version that we released in your update period, with no limits. You need a renewal only if you want newer versions.
How do I renew?
A renewal costs $20, plus tax where applicable, and adds 2 more years of updates. It starts on the later of two dates: the end of your current update period, or the date of the renewal. You get a new license key. Go to Renew updates.
Can I use the unregistered version?
Yes, with all features and no time limit. It shows "(unregistered)" in the window title, asks you now and then to buy a license, and adds a line at the bottom of exported and printed pages.
Do the prices include tax?
No. Prices are in US dollars. Paddle adds sales tax or VAT at checkout where the law requires it, so the checkout shows the full amount before you pay.
Does the app connect to a server to check my license key?
No. The app checks the key on your Mac. It sends nothing to activate.
I lost my license key.
Go to Lost license key. We send a code to your license email, and then show your key.
How do I keep my scores safe?
Back up every .mj file that you save. For the best results, keep your scores in a git repository. See Back up your scores.
